BENEFITS OF PUBLIC SPEAKING
Public Speaking is a skill that
everyone will need to use in their life at some point in time. In fact,
everyone uses public speaking in their daily life through interpersonal
communication without ever understanding or mastering the art Public Speaking.
There are a vast number of consequences to the lack of ability to speak
publicly. However, there are a greater number of benefits to possessing this
vital skill. The following is why Public Speaking is such a valuable skill.
Confidence
You might think that the first
benefit would be the advantages that flow from being able to speak confidently
in public. However the most powerful benefit is the improvement in your general
confidence and self image. This affects much more than speaking engagements.
Confidence does not come from being
given the technical steps but from actually being successful. Success comes
from just doing it and from lots of practice. The ASC programme is designed
from this perspective. It succeeds. From this success you get confidence.
Simple! Absolutely!
In
Business
In business you need an edge. ASC
gives you more than just an edge. It helps move you into a different league.
Your colleagues may be technically brilliant. They may have strong ideas. They
may have good people skills. Yet the person who can speak well in front of a
group putting over their point of view powerfully and persuasively will
outstrip others - every time.
Being able to speak in public is one
of life's unfair advantages. All you have to ask yourself is do you want this
sort of unfair advantage to help you in your career?
Socially
Being good on your feet, speaking in
front of others is one of the easiest ways to increase your group of friends,
aquaintances and general influence. Whether you are a member of a golf club or
are an organiser of a charity you will find yourself called upon to speak.
Instead of dreading it, learn to love it and improve your social standing at
the same time.
Family
You can't avoid this one.
At some time in your life you will
be asked to speak up. Whether it is at the wedding of a daughter, the
christening of a child or even a birthday party, you will be expected to say a
few words.
Success
with ASC
There are many ways to learn to
speak in public. However the safest, the easiest and the most successful way is
the ASC way.
There
are several reasons for this.
The most important is that the
programme is so well structured that you are having successes (little wins)
from the very first assignment. This is so important, as the foundation of
becoming a good public speaker is confidence and this only comes from a growing
string of successes.
Another is that it happens over a
longer time period than any commercial training course. This timescale is
important and is a much more natural way that you can take on new skills of
this sort. You can take in something at an intellectual level but until you
have made it your own at the feelings level of your intelligence, you really
are not accomplished at it. You have to know it at a subconscious, visceral
level.
Also the club ethos of friendly
support and encouragement is essential. As you get to know these people well,
the impact of their encouragement on you is magnified in the knowledge that
they are sincere and really care.
Although there are several consequences to not being able to speak in a
public setting, we will focus on what some believe are the most visible.
When trying to voice one’s opinions publicly, some struggle with clearly and
concisely getting their main ideas across to the listeners. Another consequence
is stage fright, which is the most common and most feared cost of being unable
to speak in public.
Not conveying thoughts and ideas
into words properly could cause the listeners to lose interest, misunderstand,
or even completely not comprehend what the message may even be. It is
incredibly important in any conversation to keep your listeners attention. Even
worse, the listener could misinterpret the message and respond or feel differently
than was intended by the speaker. Although the speaker may have the listeners’
attention, comprehension is not guaranteed. In order to ensure comprehension,
the speaker must learn to speak at the listeners’ level.
Everyone has been there at some point in
their life, frozen with fear and unable to speak clearly or even form the next
sentence in their head. We all know and fear stage fright. According to Vijai
P. Sharma, Ph.D in the 1996 article entitled 90 Percent of People Feel
Stage Fright found on the Mind Publications web site, “ Ninety percent of
people feel stage fright when they face the public.
Presentation and debate tasks utilize
and strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. There is
naturally a strong focus on speaking; spoken language is vital in delivering a
clear, coherent speech. Peer evaluation can promote careful listening, which
becomes especially meaningful during debates if participants are required to
take notes and respond to their classmates’ speeches. Additionally, students
will develop strong reading and writing skills during task preparation.

Binary addition (110101)2+(101111)2
0+0=0 110101
0+1=1 + 101111
1+0=1 1100100
1+1=10
Binary subtraction
0-0=0 110101
0-1=0 - 101111
1-0=1 000110
1-1=0
Hemi Code:
This is a coding of an algorithm which is used to find the error bit in message . When we send a massage then due to some fault and dialation in voltages error produces which is found by using hemi code . In this after sone calculations we would be able to find the error bit .
v. Types of Memory:
There are two types of memory we have discussed in our course which are given below :
ROM
ROM stands for Read only memory. It saves data permanently. The system BIOS is saved in ROM. There are three main types of ROM. These are
PROM (programmable ROM), EPROM (Erasable programmable ROM), and EEPROM (Electric erasable programmable ROM).
RAM
RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It is also called volatile memory. There are two main types of RAM. These are
DRAM (Dynamic RAM), SDRAM (Static Dynamic RAM).
vi. MATLAB:
MATLAB is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numerical computation. Using MATLAB, you can solve technical computing problems faster than with traditional programming languages, such as C, C++, and Fortran.
Key Features
High-level language for technical computing
Development environment for managing code, files, and data
Interactive tools for iterative exploration, design, and problem solving
Mathematical functions for linear algebra, statistics, Fourier analysis, filtering, optimization, and numerical integration
2-D and 3-D graphics functions for visualizing data
Tools for building custom graphical user interfaces
Functions for integrating MATLAB based algorithms with external applications and languages, such as C, C++, Fortran, Java™, COM, and Microsoft® Excel®
